🔔 Following the first events in Romania, the dissemination of the STEM GenderIN project continues! 📍 On June 5, we organised a multiplier event in Belgium! 👩🔬 Participants discovered the project's tools and resources, 🎤 Attended a panel discussion featuring five prominent Belgian women involved in STEM education, 💬 And exchanged ideas on how to make STEM education more gender-inclusive. 🤝 Engaging discussions, hands-on sessions, and inspiring feedback reminded us how essential it is to keep promoting diversity in STEM. ✨ Stay tuned — more events are coming soon across Europe! #STEMGenderIN #Dissemination #STEMeducation #GenderEquality #EUProject #InclusiveSTEM

A bridge to close the STEM gap with gender-inclusive education and teaching.
About us
“STEM GenderIN: a bridge to close the STEM gap with gender-inclusive education and teaching” is an Erasmus Plus project funded by the European Commission that aims to reduce the gender gap in STEM fields of study by strengthening STEM teachers' skills in terms of gender stereotypes and gender diversity management (gender awareness, fight against gender stereotypes, gender-inclusive education and teaching, etc.). The project will also develop inclusive pedagogical strategies considering gender dimensions in STEM learning by equipping teachers with tailor-made tools to integrate gender aspects in their practices with the students. STEM GenderIN – project n° 2023-1-BE01-KA220-SCH-000157164 “Funded by the European Union. Views and opinions expressed are however those of the author(s) only and do not necessarily reflect those of the European Union or the European Education and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA). 🎉 The dissemination phase of the STEM GenderIN project is officially underway! Our Romanian partner, the Scoala Gimnaziala Nr 16 "Take lonescu" Timișoara, have kicked things off with two successful final events: one held on May 23, 2025 and the second on June 4, 2025. During these events, participants had the opportunity to discover the STEM GenderIN project, explore its objectives, and get hands-on with the practical tools and resources developed over the past two years. 💡 From mini-trainings to assessment tools and inclusive classroom activities, the events provided valuable insights for educators and stakeholders committed to making STEM more accessible and gender-inclusive. 📉 Only 48.6% of teachers avoid using generic masculine terms like “man” to mean all humans. But there is good news too: 93.3% encourage students to work in mixed-gender groups, and 92.9% promote failure as a learning opportunity - key pillars of gender-inclusive education. 🙌 This data (📍page 91 of our Guide) is part of an in-depth study exploring how teachers across Europe are shifting their practices to challenge gender stereotypes in STEM. While progress is real, there’s still a long way to go in areas like inclusive language and parent engagement. 🧪 Want to see the full list of good practices, from role models to hands-on STEM activities? 📘 Check out our website and the complete STEM GenderIN Equality Pedagogy Report and mini-trainings for insights, data, and inspiration to build a more inclusive classroom! 👉 https://lnkd.in/dZCspvzS #STEMGenderIN #ErasmusPlus #STEMgirls #erasmusplusproject #GenderEquality #STEMeducation #GirlsInSTEM
