Self-assessment tool

to create a gender-inclusive learning environment

Do you know the equality web?

The construction of an inclusive learning environment can be facilitated by using the equality web developed by Isabelle Collet (https://interstices.info/appliquer-une-pedagogie-de-legalite-dans-les-enseignements-dinformatique/). The equality web is an assessment tool that invites you to think critically about the root causes of inequalities, particularly those linked to gender, in two steps:

  1. Identifying inequalities, often overlooked due to normalization.
  2. Developing egalitarian resources and systems to address these inequalities.

Try our interactive self-assessment tool!

In the framework of the STEM GenderIN project, a Genial.ly has been developed to explore the equality web and to guide you in the analysis of a learning situation you have implemented or observed.

Once you are in the equality web Genial.ly, you will be guided step by step through the use of this tool. To discover the details of each step, click on the “Step” items on the right (the “Step” items will appear gradually as you explore). You can highlight interactive elements by clicking on the finger shaped icon at top right. Enjoy your exploration!
